COINAF (Coalition Of Internet Numismatists Against Fraud) is a group of dealers and collectors committed to the promotion of fair and honest trade of numismatic items on the internet and to the education of consumers in the study of numismatics and fair trade practices. COINAF will provide links, information, and assistance to those who visit our site. We will aid local and national law enforcement agencies in identifying unfair trade practices including fraud and counterfeiting. The purpose of COINAF is to ensure continued integrity within the hobby of noumismatics. We invite all internet forums, numismatic dealers, and collectors with an interest in numismatics to link with our site. We welcome your input.

Thank you for visiting our site. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact us via email if we can be of any assistance.

On our web site, you will find many valuable resources. Our primary goal is to help educate coin collectors so that they may make better purchases without unnecessary risks. If all collectors were knowledgeable enough to avoid a scam or outright fraud, the scammers and fraudsters would be out of business. Huge goal, but you have to start somewhere. We are here to help all coin collecting individuals in need of assistance.

The education section of our site will continue to grow as we expand. Any numismatist will tell you that the key to safe coin collecting is knowledge. When we find good educational sites, new links will be added here. The expertise of our members covers a very wide variety of numismatic areas. We have a tremendous amount of knowledge within ourselves, and we are very efficient at finding information that a collector needs to purchase coins on the internet safely. In fact, we love a good challenge.

The legal reporting section of this site will also continue to grow. We at COINAF are not lawyers; therefore we cannot offer technical legal advice. Our members are comprised of very dedicated dealers and collectors, each having influence in their own areas of specialty. We can point you in the right direction to help get you started and offer assistance and support along the way. We are only satisfied when you are.

It is important that a consumer submit a complaint through proper channels. These channels may depend upon the location of the complainant, the location of the other party, and the nature of the complaint, but each situation differs and will require differing solutions. We advise that if a complaint is to go through legal channels that your local law enforcement be contacted first to determine if there is anything which may be done from their office. We can help you in determining the proper channels to use.

The auction reporting section is available to report any listings that appear to be fraudulent, misleading, or against the auction service rules. We have also provided links for reporting these listings to various auction sites. There is also a form to submit a suspect listing to COINAF. Use this form if you are not sure about a listing. Our members will review the listing for you to help determine if the listing should be reported. Our members know the rules of eBay and other auction sites extremely well. In some circumstances we will report it for you if it is deemed by our members to be a problem listing.

We welcome all of your input. No matter how small of a contribution you may have, send it to us! You can always contact us. You may send us questions, suggestions or comments about this web site, links you think should be listed here, or just something that is on your mind. COINAF is not a commercial interest and does not represent any faction beyond truth and honesty in coin transactions.
